Nursery done....ok almost

The nursery is finally all done (minus hanging a couple of things that we need special hooks for!) After having a successful shower, we came home to have Matt and my dad move the dresser (courtesy of Nanny) upstairs. Mom and Ellen helped unpack a lot of the gifts and put some things away. On Sunday, we traveled to Ikea to buy a wardrobe for the room due to lack of closet space. (We have spent the better part of a week putting it together.) Today we finally have finished the nursery...and here are some pics of the "final" project!

We are also less than 3 weeks til our due date....

New toys..

Yesterday was our baby shower! We were so blessed by the generosity of friends and family! Today was spent putting together some of our new toys!!!
We put together the swing/bouncer (one of 2 that we received!):

It took us awhile to put all the components together of the pack and play:

And now we have the baby's transportation all set!

1st mail....

Baby Dakin is truly loved. Today they received their first piece of mail addressed directly to them:

Thank you Erin, Nate and Ella!!!! Matt waited for me to get home to open the box!!! We absolutely love what we found inside!

Birthing class #4

Last Tuesday we had birthing class #4, all about breast feeding. Matt and I learned quite a bit from the class, from correct technique to not panicking if it doesn't go well at first. Because of its inexpensiveness, we have been convinced from the start that this was the right thing for us to do (especially since Janet will only get paid for 6 weeks of her 12 week leave.)

Two more classes to go...and one month from tomorrow is our due date!!!! Getting so excited and nervous at the same time!

Getting closer...

As I started work on Monday (yesterday) it dawned on me...I am less than 6 weeks til my due date!!! And less than a month left of work! We really are getting into the home stretch!!!
